How and when to take Assurans

Assurans is medication used for treatment of pulmonary hypertension (an increase in blood pressure in the pulmonary artery, pulmonary vein, or pulmonary capillaries, together known as the lung vasculature, leading to shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, and other symptoms)in order to improve exercise ability. Assurans, which contains sildenafil citrate as its active ingredient, works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the blood vessels in the penis. This relaxation allows for increased blood flow into the penis, which is essential for achieving and maintaining an erection during sexual stimulation. By improving blood flow to the penis, Assurans helps to facilitate the erection process in men with erectile dysfunction.

Dosage and direction

Take one Assurans tablet of 20 mg three times a day with or without food. Each dose should be divided by 4-6 hours. Regular intakes of the medication separated by equal time periods are preferable.

Assurans contains sildenafil citrate, which is commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension. The standard dose of sildenafil for the treatment of erectile dysfunction is usually around 25–100 mg, taken as needed approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity and no more than once daily.

However, this drug has a different dosage – 20 mg three times a day, which is unusual for sildenafil. It is important to follow the specific instructions provided by your healthcare provider or on the prescription label. Taking a dose different from what is usually prescribed may not produce the desired effect and may potentially be harmful.

If you have any concerns or questions about your medication regimen, it is best to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice and clarification. They can advise you on the correct dosage and frequency of taking Assurans or any other medications you are taking.
